Iref Efforts

Assuring that it is true to its goal of the organization, IREF makes significant efforts to promote rice on the international market. By utilizing every opportunity to promote rice through gatherings, summits, conferences, and other events, IREF has succeeded in making an impact on Indian rice across the globe.

Rice India, a quarterly magazine produced by IREF gives the most up-to-date information on the latest happenings in all things rice. From happenings and events in the industry and trade to the most recent developments in technology this magazine is full of the information that is required by rice exporters. The magazine also provides fascinating details and figures related to the field.

There are regular summits and experts from the industry and other heads are invited to give talks about the different aspects of the industry of rice. International Chefs Conference – ‘Basmati for the World 2011’ is an example of this regard. IREF seeks to expand the international exposure of Indian rice by involving it in diverse food festivals and events such as such as the Gulf Food Fair, Anuga Food Fair, SIAL, and so on. Indian exporters also benefit by increasing their knowledge and understanding of the international market.

These events are a great way to boost the business. IREF regularly organizes seminars on opportunities for business in the export of rice and similar subjects. Awareness is the most important factor in the success of a promotion. The Association is present at the most important national and international gatherings. IREF also has a members’ director who offers valuable contact information for the people who propagate the Indian exporting of rice.
