Heavy Rainfall Damages Major Kharif Crops in Maharashtra Amid Mid-August

According to the report of the agricultural department, heavy rainfall between August 15 and August 20 has damaged crops on 1.4 million hectares (3.61 million acres) in 29 districts in Maharashtra. The most affected were major kharif crops, including soybean, maize, cotton and pulses.
