PDS Rice Bags Were Found In A Public Toilet In Krishnagiri

On Thursday, July 24, PDS rice bags were found in a filthy public toilet near a ration shop at Hosur in Krishnagiri district . The locals, seeing the rice bags being stored in the Public toilet, requested the authorities to relocate them to a clean and hygienic location.

The rice bags were meant to be delivered at the ration shop No. 14 located in the Housing Board area situated at the Rayakottai Road. Surprisingly, the shop was discovered to be in a state of disrepair. For the past three months, the ration shop has been operating from a flower shop located near Uzhavar Sandy in the same area temporarily. On a related note, the rice bags allocated by the state cooperative department arrived on Thursday. Not only this, but it was also reported that there was a lack of space to store the rice bags in the shop. Moreover, one of the customers at the rice shop said, “The bags were placed in a public toilet.”Rice bags were stacked in the area and distributed to the public. We appealed to the authorities to relocate the rice to a hygienic place”, he added further. The public was stunned after seeing the rice bags in the Public toilet in unhygienic conditions. When one of the employees of Ration shop questioned about the condition of Rice bags, he replied that they were storing the rice bags in the Public toilet due to the limited space.
