The Delhi Government has given approval for the formation of Delhi Traders Welfare Board, CM Rekha Gupta shared this information while addressing a press conference on Wednesday. The main aim behind establishing this board is to ensure the welfare of the traders of Delhi. The board will boost the economic growth of the city and will focus on policy formulation, regulatory challenges, traders’ welfare, and promotion of employment and investment.
Expressing his gratitude towards the welcoming move of CM Rekha Gupta, Shri Satya Bhushan Jain, National Vice President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) & Vice Chairman, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said that the formation of Delhi Traders Welfare Board will make the city more traders-friendly and will increase coordination between the government and traders. Shri Satya Bhushan Jain, National Vice President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) further appreciated and congratulated honorable CM Rekha Gupta on behalf of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) and advocated on nominating Dr. Prem Garg, National President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) as the chairman of the board.
Total 15 Members in the Board
CM Rekha Gupta informed that this will be a 15-member committee, in which the Minister of Industries will be its chairman. Industry Minister Sirsa will head it. The vice-chairman will be a businessman. The member secretary will be the commissioner of the industries department. The treasurer will be a nominated deputy commissioner. Six members will be officers from government departments like MCD, Labour Department, Industries Department. 9 members will be businessmen. Nomination of Dr. Prem Garg, National President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) as the chairman of the board is based on the commendable efforts of Dr. Garg in providing premium quality rice at affordable prices. Dr. Prem Garg National President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) worked tremendously well to eradicate malnutrition and still working tirelessly on achieving the goal of PM Narendra Modi to eradicate malnutrition by 2028.
