Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the launch of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan via videoconferencing, addressing the launch Modi described it as a major initiative for farmers and a distinctive effort to support agricultural development. The Prime Minister highlighted that with the beginning of monsoon season and as the preparations for the Kharif season approaches, over the next 12 to 15 days, 2000 teams consisting of scientists, experts, officials, and progressive farmers will travel across 700+ districts and reach millions of farmers across villages.
Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to the farmers and teams participating in the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyaan. Addressing the meeting PM stressed on the need for change in the field of agriculture according to changing times. PM Modi stressed on the recent launch of the Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan developed at ICAR-Central Freshwater Aquaculture Institute Kaushalya Ganga, Bhubaneswar by Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and highlighted the ambitious goal of the campaign.
He further emphasized that all the technologies developed by ICAR-CIFA should reach the farmers effectively to increase their income and build a developed and resilient fisheries sector. The Northeast states also seem to be happy and satisfied and in state of enthusiasm with the ‘Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan’ where Meghalaya Agriculture Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh launched the nationwide ‘Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan’.
“India’s agriculture must become a cornerstone of a developed India”, emphasised Shri Modi underscoring the magnitude of this mission. He urged farmers to actively engage with visiting scientists, encouraging them to ask questions and seek valuable insights
