Piyush Goyal, the Union Commerce and Industry Minister said that the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) with the United States is moving progressively in the right direction. In tis context, it is worth to note that India and USA are continuously having discussions to double and normalise bilateral trade. Piyush Goyal spoke that talks are moving progressively to double the bilateral trade between India and the US to $500 billion.
Piyush Goyal further added that India is one of the best destinations for investment and Foreign direct investment is also good. As per the reports, US trade officials are visiting India on June 5-6 to negotiate an interim trade agreement. Earlier in February this year India and the US had announced mutually beneficial bilateral talks for a trade deal to boost bilateral trade to $500 billion.
Minister Goyal further stressed on building good relations with other countries and said that India is helping countries to provide facilities for their youth, families and startups. It is a well-known fact that India exports many things to the world and imports many things from many countries of the world.
India’s trade relations with America are quite old and both the countries are working in this direction to deal with the challenges that have arisen recently regarding tariffs. In the meeting the Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said “We are dedicated to creating more opportunities for our startups, skilled manpower, doctors and nurses by entering into good and balanced agreements like free trade agreements and mobility agreements with developed countries of the world.
