IREF Hosts South Korean Delegation, Invites Them to BIRC 2026 in New Delhi

The Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) recently hosted a high-level delegation from South Korea at the historic Gandhi Ashram (Harijan Sevak Sangh) in New Delhi, marking a prominent step toward boosting India’s global rice trade partnerships. The delegation was warmly welcomed and presented with mementoes as part of the engagement, which also served as an official invitation to the upcoming International Rice Festival and the prestigious Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC 2026).

During this interaction, IREF President Uma Shanker Pandey and the South Korean delegation discussed expanding mutual trade opportunities in the rice sector, emphasizing India’s growing role in global agricultural exports. Eminent dignitaries, including Shri Lakshmi Das Ji, Vice President of the Harijan Sevak Sangh, Shri Naresh Yadav, Former Member of Parliament, and Shri Sanjay Rai Ji, Secretary, were present at the occasion.


About BIRC 2026

The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC 2026) is scheduled to be held on 23, 24, and 25 October at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The three-day global event is expected to set a new benchmark in the international rice industry, bringing together over 30,000 visitors, 2,000 exporters, and 300 exhibitors, with participation from more than 120 countries.

BIRC 2026 aims to position India as a central hub in the global rice trade ecosystem, facilitating collaboration, innovation, and large-scale business opportunities across the value chain. The conference is expected to strengthen India’s leadership in the global rice market while promoting sustainable trade practices and international partnerships.
