Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The amount of 20,500 crores has been transferred to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers. The Central government has directly sent the 20th instalment of the scheme to the farmers’ accounts. Rs.2,000 each have been given to the accounts of nearly 7 crore farmers across the country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
On 2 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred about Rs 20,500 crore to the accounts of farmers from his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, with a message sent to the linked mobile numbers of the beneficiary farmers.
The PM Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan 20th Instalment) has been credited only to those farmers whose information is correct and updated on the official portal, including e-KYC, bank details, and land papers. Farmers should visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in to check their name and status on the beneficiary list (PM Kisan Beneficiary List).

About PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana The central government started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in February 2019. Under this scheme, the amount of Rs 6,000 is provided annually as financial assistance to crores of poor farmers across the country. The amount is transferred to the farmers’ account directly in three instalments.
