PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Textile Park on His 75th Birthday

PM Narendra Modi will turn 75 on September 2025, the 75th birthday of Narendra Modi has become more special as he is all set to inaugurate country’s first Textile Park under the PM MITRA scheme. For the unversed, the government has already notified about setting up of PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks at 7 sites viz. Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Telangana (Warangal), Gujarat (Navasari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) and Maharashtra (Amravati) with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 cr. for a period of seven years upto 2027-28. 

The PM Mitra scheme is expected to attract Rs. 70,000 crores in investments and create nearly 20 lakh direct and indirect jobs. During his special birthday visit on 17th September Narendra Modi will also launch a special nationwide campaign from Madhya Pradesh that aims to strengthen healthcare services for women and children, and a fortnight-long service initiative, 'Seva Pakhwada'.

Textile Park and Other Initiatives to be Launched on 17th September

Prime Minister will launch several initiatives including the country’s first Textile Park, 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan' (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign) and Seva Pakhwada (Service Fortnight) in Bhaisola village under Badnawar tehsil of the district. The foundation stone for the country’s first PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) park will be laid in the tribal-dominated Dhar district. In this context, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that it will be the first among the seven PM MITRA parks approved in the country for which 'bhoomi pujan' (ground-breaking ceremony) will also be held.

CM of Madhya Pradesh also added that since Dhar, Jhabua, Ujjain and Khargone, along with Barwani, are the largest cotton-producing areas of the state and in such case the establishment of Textile Park under the PM MITRA scheme will act like a large cotton-based industrial park in Madhya Pradesh. During the event the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the 'Suman Sakhi' chatbot. Under the 'Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam' (A Garden in Mother's Name) campaign, plants will be distributed to women beneficiaries. In addition, distribution of one crore sickle cell cards will also take place besides the launch of 'Swadeshi Pakhwada' (Indigenous Fortnight).
