Scientists have come up with the latest discovery of new variety of mushroom that is expected to give crop in 7 days. Scientists of Mushroom Directorate Chambaghat have discovered the new variety of Mushroom belonging to the pink Dhingri species. The new variety will harvest within a week, bringing revolution in mushroom production in the country. The information was disclosed by the directorate scientist Dr. Anil Kumar during the Indian Mushroom Conference at Mushroom Directorate Chambaghat. The conference was attended by approx. 151 scientists, students, and mushroom producers from across the nation. Many research papers were also discussed in the conference.
Benefits of the New Variety of the Mushroom
The new variety of the mushroom known as the Pleurotus Jamorvar belonging to the pink Dhingri species have been successfully tested by scientists. The new variety is believed to have the ability to give crop in just 7 days. Apart from its capacity to give produce in less time the new variety also possess some health benefits that include a compound called lovastatin which is believed to have the capacity of reducing the cholesterol levels in the blood. Apart from this, protein, vitamins and minerals are also present in it in abundance.
