National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) Becomes the Official Member of IREF

In the series of latest developments, National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) — an initiative under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, has officially become a member of the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF).
Interestingly, the interest expressed by NCOL to become the official member of IREF further strengthens the shared vision of promoting India’s agricultural exports and cooperative participation in global trade.

NCOL deals in promoting India’s organic sector by aggregating, certifying, branding, marketing, and distributing organic products produced by cooperatives and allied organisations. Notably, NCOL was established by the Ministry of Cooperation in 2023. It also manages the organic supply chain, ensuring fair value for producers and facilitating market access for genuine organic produce across India and the globe.

This membership implicitly highlights the government’s support and its intent to promote India’s rice sector on the global stage. It is indeed a proud moment for the entire rice fraternity, ensuring that the voice of IREF and rice stakeholders will be explicitly represented at the highest policy-making platform committed to the promotion of Rice exports.
