In a significant step toward promoting the upcoming Bharat International Rice Conference 2025, Amandeep Singh, Executive Director of the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF), and Sonali Gupta from Vi exports participated in a business interaction organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with selected Indian industrialists and extended formal invitations to H.E. Wasantha Samarasinghe, Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development, Government of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Dr. Maryam Mariya, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Government of Maldives to BIRC 2025.
The event took place on September 25th at the CII Central Office, 23 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
Furthermore, Singh highlighted IREF’s role in representing the interests of rice exporters in India. Not only this, but they also introduced the key objectives of the Federation. Discussions with both ministers focused on sharing insights about the BIRC 2025, scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on October 30th & 31st, 2025.

About BIRC 2025:
The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025 is set to be one of the largest global platforms dedicated to rice. Scheduled for October 30–31, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the event will be organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, through APEDA. BIRC 2025 aims to unite governments, exporters, millers, buyers, logistics partners, and policymakers to collaboratively stabilize and strategize the future of the global rice trade.
