Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued new guidelines for the procurement of kharif crops in the state. In his review meeting regarding the purchase of Kharif crops, the CM ordered that inspectors will be posted for 24 hours a day in the mandis to ensure that farmers do not face any issues during the procurement process. He further ensured that all kharif crops would only be purchased at the minimum support price (MSP). Gate passes will be sent to farmers by SMS, and there will also be a facility to download the gate pass by scanning it from the mobile.
Further, to encourage farmers chief minister has also announced bonus on crops like black sesame, black gram, pigeon pea and soybean. Further, he gave orders to officers to arrange a tarpaulin to protect the crops from damage due to rainwater and to install advanced machines for moisture testing.
MSP For the Procurement of Kharif Crops
Haryana Government has already decided the Minimum Support Price for the Kharif crops, which are as follows: the MSP of paddy (normal) at Rs 2369 and grade-A paddy at Rs 2389 per quintal. Bajra will be purchased at Rs 2775, maize at Rs 2400, pigeon pea at Rs 8000, green gram at Rs 8768, black gram at Rs 7800, peanuts at Rs 7263, soybean at Rs 5328, sesame at Rs 9846 and black sesame at Rs 9537 per quintal.
Minister Rajesh Nagar has directed officials to lift the paddy from the mandis within 72 hours and ensure direct payments to farmers in their bank accounts.
