The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan-2025, which started on 29 May across the nation including Uttar Pradesh has concluded in Baroli, Gujarat. Shivraj Sing Chauhan in the event added that the govt. will continue supporting farmers even after the conclusion of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan 2025.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while drawing similarity between the farmer struggles of the past and present, said, “I consider myself blessed that I am present on this karmabhoomi of Sardar Patel.” It’s worth to note that this place has a historical significance, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel led the Baroli Satyagraha in 1928. This nationwide campaign was launched on 29th May in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the country self-reliant in agriculture.

During this mega campaign aimed at helping farmers 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, public representatives, agricultural scientists and officials have established direct contact with about 20.20 lakh farmers by organizing more than 10 thousand Chaupals. The state’s Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi also reached among the farmers in Barabanki on the last day of the event.
The Union Minister also praised the agricultural achievements of Gujarat and said that the state is leading in the production of 44.5% groundnut, 24% cotton and 15% gram.
