Dr. Prem Garg, National President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) held a meeting with Shri. Rajesh Agrawal, IAS, Additional Secretary to GOI, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry to provide a comprehensive update on the preparations of Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025, scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam on 30 & 31st October 2025.
During the meeting Dr. Garg and his team briefed Shri. Rajesh Agrawal about the initiatives already undertaken for the world’s largest rice conference, Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC), including national and international outreach, participation of industry stakeholders, and support from embassies across the globe. Dr. Garg was accompanied by key players of the rice industry.
To further boost the World’s largest rice conference, BIRC 2025 scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam on 30 & 31st October 2025, IREF and team highlighted the areas that still require focused attention, such as strengthening global collaborations, and enhancing industry participation. The meeting between Dr. Garg and Shri Rajesh Agrawal, in the presence of IREF team members and key players of rice industry highlighted the Government’s continued support towards making BIRC 2025 a landmark event in the global rice trade sector.
