Deccan Rice Has Reached China Now

Deccan Grainz India has recently entered China. Notably, it exports rice under the famous Deccan brand. Earlier, the company has been exporting nearly 30 varieties of Indian rice to several countries such as Sweden, UK, Germany, Ireland, London, US, Canada, Australia, EU and Turkey but it has entered the Chinese market now. The company’s director, Kiran Kumar Pola said that his company is the only rice brand from South India to attain such a global milestone in rice exports.
He considered his company's entry into Chinese market as a significant landmark since China stands on second position in the world after India in respective field of rice production. Moreover, he informed that Deccan Foods tops the non-basmati rice segment in the US market.
Further, he added that his company purchases quality rice from a slew of farmers in numerous states including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and exports it to several countries. Not only this, but he assured his company’s entry into the Indian market soon.
The company has sold over more than 7 crore bags of rice globally in the span of 15 years. Generally, the Over 60% of company’s revenue comes from Sona Masuri. In addition, the company has a cutting-edge rice processing facility at Sulatanpur in Hyderabad. It is equipped with Japanese equipment that can process 5,500 metric tonnes of rice every month, having around one hundred employees. Kumar states: “They say that before we can win outside, we must win at home. But outside, we've already prevailed. We are now prepared to triumph at home. Early in 2026, Deccan Grainz will make its debut in the Indian market”
Kiran holds nearly 3 decades of experience in the rice business. In 1995, he worked for six months in a rice mill in Kothapet, Hyderabad. Subsequently, he worked in Aishwarya Industries as a small employee. Kiran exerted himself into transforming into a rice exporting company. Before launching the Deccan brand in London in 2008, he spent 14 years working for that company.
