Sharing the information about BIRC 2025, the Embassy of India in La Paz, Bolivia, stated: Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF) in collaboration with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), a nodal Agricultural and Processed Food export promotion Authority, under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India is organizing the Bharat International Rice Conference 2025 (BIRC 2025), scheduled to be held during October 30–31, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.Not only sharing the relevant details regarding the event, but also appealed to the regional rice stakeholders and agri-related locals to become a part of the world’s biggest rice conference

Meanwhile, the Embassy of India in Tajikistan highlighted BIRC 2025 and emphasised India’s role in agricultural production, which continues to rise. Moreover, India is poised to play a pivotal role in global agri-trade, contributing to global food security. Furthermore, it mentioned “BIRC 2025 will serve as a strategic forum to reaffirm India’s commitment to reliable and sustainable food exports and to strengthen partnerships with key importing nations”, requesting the local rice stakeholders to take part in the biggest rice event.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal expressed enthusiasm for BIRC 2025
In an urgent meeting held in Mumbai after the imposition of Tariffs by the US, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal expressed his support and enthusiasm for BIRC 2025, which aims to bring together governments, exporters, millers, buyers, logistics partners, and policymakers on a global platform to strategise and stabilise the future of international rice trade. Notably, the meeting was attended by leading rice exporters of the country.
Dr. Prem Garg Assures Resilience in India’s Rice Sector
During the meeting, Dr. Prem Garg, National President of the Indian Rice Exports Federation(IREF) assured the government that the Indian rice sector remains resilient and optimistic amid recent US Tariffs. He highlighted that India currently accounts for approximately 45% of global rice exportsand expressed confidence in increasing this share to 55% with the right government support and strategic vision.
