Indian agriculture sector is growing gradually, technological advancements, and increased use of modern technologies by farmers is helping it boost further. The testament to this fact was presented by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who said that the agriculture production in country increased by 40 per cent in the last 10 years.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan who attended an event in Telangana emphasised on the increasing Agri production in India. Chouhan later added that the agricultural growth rate in India stood at 5.4% in Q4, that reflects the government’s focus on the agriculture sector.
The union agriculture minister remarked, “From the point of view of agriculture, it is a result of PM Narendra Modi’s vision, policies, and programs. In Q4, the agriculture growth rate was 5.4 per cent… I want to congratulate PM Narendra Modi; our grain storages are full. We have set new records in the production of foodgrains. In the last 10 years, we have increased our agricultural production by 40 per cent…,”
The Union Minister stressed on ensuring food security, increasing the income of farmers, providing nutritious food and protecting soil health. The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyanhas started across the country from May 29, and it will conclude on June 12.
