Finance and Commerce Ministry Considering Proposal for ₹2,250 Crore Export Boost

Indian commerce and finance ministries are in talks for boosting export. To boost export and to promote it the finance and commerce ministry of India is considering a proposal for ₹2,250 Crore informed an official. Though the mission to boost export was the part of budget announcements but has gathered current urgency in the wake of the possible adverse impact of US tariffs on India’s exports.

Official informed that the commerce department has already prepared a blueprint, which focuses on expanding the number of exporters, especially MSMEs, while supporting first time exporters.

The key focus of the mission is on export finance and putting in place new tools, whereas also dealing with non-tariff barriers erected by other countries. Other key areas of the plan include facilitation of overseas warehousing and global branding initiatives to explore emerging export opportunities.
