India’s food processing sector is set to reach $535 billion by 2025-26. This growth is attributed to increasing urbanization, changing consumer preferences and government initiatives aimed at boosting the sector. The second edition of India Food Manufacturing Summit was organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India at Hotel Imperial in Delhi.
The tagline of the summit was “Envisioning a sustainable Future for India’s F&B Industry”. Experts, businessmen, food researchers and intellectuals associated with the food and beverage industry participated in this summit. Chairman of Trade Promotion Council of India, Mohit Singla and Ashok Sethi, Director of Trade Promotion Council of India expressed his gratitude to the attendees for giving their valuable time. Joint Secretary of Ministry of Food Processing Industry, Devesh Deval, also participated in the summit and shared his views on food processing industry and challenges with the changing times.
Director EP (Agri), Department of Commerce Monika Gaur also attended this summit and shared her views on the summit’s tag line ‘Envisioning a sustainable Future for India’s F&B Industry’. National Vice President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) PK Swain and the team of IREF also participated in this summit.
The National Vice President of Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) PK Swain met the joint secretary of the Ministry of food processing industry, Devesh Deval and presented him a memento of IREF and informed him about the upcoming Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC). Both were seen having a meaningful discussion on issues related to the food processing industry
