Donald Trump Announces 25% Tariff on all Imported Trucks Starting November 1

“Make America Great Again” (MAGA) supremo Donald released his new move and announced 25% tariff on all imported trucks starting November 1, 2025. Donald Trump on his favourite social media platform Truth Social announced that all medium and heavy-duty trucks imported into the United States will face a 25 per cent Tariff, escalating his push to support American manufacturers from foreign competition.

25% Tariff on all Imported Trucks Effective from November 1, 2025

Trump who recently declared that ‘tariff’ is his favourite word in English dictionary, is in true means giving a special importance to the word. “I love tariffs. Most beautiful word, but I’m not allowed to say that anymore. Tariff is my favourite word. I love the word tariff.” The words that define trump’s love for tariff. Now, implementing the word again he has announced starting November 1, 2025, the USA will impose a 25% tariff on all imported trucks, which include both medium and heavy-duty trucks imported from abroad. Tariff in recent months is most commonly used by the US President. Notably he has imposed tariffs on foreign movies to pharmaceuticals.

“Beginning November 1st, 2025, all Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks coming into the United States from other Countries will be Tariffed at the Rate of 25%. Thank you for your attention to This matter,” the Republican president wrote on Truth Social.

25% Tariff on all Imported Trucks: A trump tariff that doesn’t hurt India

Though trump tariffs are continuously hurting India and its finances, however this latest tariff is the only single trump tariff that doesn’t hurt India. Notably, Post the 50% trump’s tariffs India’s exports to the United States fell for the third consecutive month in August compared to July, to $6.7 billion, or ₹58,816 crore. The decline of 16.3% in August, marks the largest monthly decline so far in 2025.

India can breathe a sigh of relief as India doesn’t export trucks to the US, and this tariff is mainly aimed at harming European automakers, many of whom have been key suppliers of commercial vehicles to the American market. The tariff game which Donald Trump says is his strongest move to “Make America Great Again” is also escalating trade tensions. And more or less it is poised to harm the United States of America.
