Ministry of Agriculture issues warning over Fraudulent Messages under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has recently issued a warning regarding the Fraudulent Messages under the guise of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Many Fake messages, Links and Social media posts are going viral on the Internet with the false promises of additional benefits, fake registration links and misleading updates. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has stated that the farmers should remain aware of fake messages and claims floating on the social media landscape. The warning has been issued to save the farmers from the misinformation trend on the internet under the guise of PM Kisan Scheme.

Due to these fake messages, the bank details and the Aadhar information could be exposed, resulting in delaying or postponing your benefits. Not only this, but it may result in losing the personal details.

Farmers under the PM Kisan scheme, should follow the official PM-Kisna Portal, pmkisan.gov.in and @pmkisanofficial on X(formerly Twitter) and Facebook for latest updates regarding the scheme. The Government has notified that spreading unverified information may jeopardise individuals’ rightful benefits and hard-earned income.

Under the PM Kisan Scheme, an income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments will be given to all landholding farmer families. This is payable in three equal 4-monthly instalments of Rs 2000/- each. The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to release the 20th instalment for eligible PM-Kisan beneficiaries this month. However, an official date has not been announced yet. The 19th instalment of PM Kisan was disbursed on February 24, 2025, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bhagalpur, Bihar.
